Ava Starr, known as Ghost, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), portrayed by Hannah John-Kamen.
She made her first appearance in the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp. Due to an accident involving one of her father's experiments with quantum energy, Starr gained the ability to become intangible and phase through objects.
This accident also left her in a state of constant molecular instability, causing her immense pain and threatening her life. She is being used by Bill Foster, one of Hank Pym's former colleagues, who is trying to stabilize her condition.
Driven by her need to survive, Ghost becomes an antagonist, seeking to acquire the quantum energy from the Quantum Realm to cure herself, even if it means harming others in the process. Her phasing powers make her a formidable opponent for Ant-Man and the Wasp.
